This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

Bromborough to Mickle Trafford

      The ride will be just over 33 miles long, Grade C, starting at 10:30 am from the car park of the Merebrook Hotel besides Bromborough Railway Station on Allport Road.  Trains arrive at Bromborough from Hooton at 10:12 and from Hamilton Square at 10:24 on Wednesday mornings.  The ride leader will be Dave Brewer and he will be at the start from 10:15.  We aim to be back at Bromborough between 14:00 and 14:30.

      We will split into two groups of up to ten riders in each group and go out through Eastham and the Missing Link to Capenhurst and Little Stanney, Croughton and Pickton to Mickle Trafford.

      We will picnic at Chester Zoo Nature Trail – so bring sandwiches and drink.  If people want  a cafe a sub-group could go to Meadow Lea instead.

      Then back via Caughall, Backford, Saughall and Ledsham and back to Bromborough station.
