Thornton Hough to Cafe Fresh at Dunham on the Hill then onto Nets cafe in Neston. 38 miles

Todays ride is a “C+” grade ride of 37 miles in total with an average speed of 13 miles per hour, so for most of the ride we can expect to be riding at about 15 miles per hour. There are no really steep climbs on this ride as can be seen in the Elevation detail shown below.

We will start and finish at Thornton Hough, meeting at 9:45 for a quick debriefing and leaving at 10:00 Our journey takes us out through Raby, Willaston, Missing Link, Ledsham, Capenhurst, Dunkirk, along the cycle path of the A5117 to Thornton Le Moors then on towards Dunham on the Hill, there is a slightly steep section before joining the A56 Chester road, a sharp right turn and down the hill to cafe Fresh.

Leaving Cafe Fresh our route is towards Mickle Trafford, Wervin, Backford and onto the cycle path of the A41 ( care must be taken here as the cycle path ends before the roundabout ) we will join the A5117 cycle path, Dunkirk and heading towards Shotwick onto the Greenway and then through the industrial estate before joining the Greenway/Wirral Way until our stop at Nets cafe. Leaving Nets cafe we will head back towards Thornton Hough but many may decide to find their own way home from Nets Cafe

Can I remind everyone to bring the necessary tools etc in order to repair your bike should this be necessary. A first aid kit is also required and hopefully never needed.
