(D) Ride from Birkenhead Park (suitable for newcomers)

10:00 Sunday April 9 2023

Current Participants: 0 space(s) available

The ride will start at 10 am, but aim to be there ten minutes beforehand just in case you get delayed. The ride leader and the back-marker will be outside the Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre entrance on Park Drive from 9:45.

The ride is just under 25 miles long, Grade D, so we can expect to be back at Birkenhead Park around 13:30 to 14:00.  Click on the following links if you would like to see the route on Komoot: Ride from Birkenhead Park to West Kirby or on Garmin Connect: Birkenhead Park to West Kirby.

On this ride we will stop after seven miles to check how everyone is doing and for the ‘banana’ break (other fruit is acceptable).  We will stop at fifteen miles (around 11:45) for a snack in Coronation Gardens just off the promenade in West Kirby.  You can bring sandwiches or buy food at Tanskey’s café if you wish.  We will stop on the way back after twenty miles for five to ten minutes to get our breath back for the final leg.

Bookings no longer allowed on this date.
