Distance The ride from Hooton to Farndon is 21.4 miles with a return journey of 22.1 miles and will be a Grade C ride. Total miles for the day will be approximately. 43.5 in total.

Meeting We will be meeting at Hooton Station at 10:30 for a 10:45 depart.

Possible obstacles The route both there and back are fairly flat with the slight upward elevation (HaHaa) nothing serious here and there.

Lunch will be at Cleopatra’s 01829 270030 (about 1.15) which we as a group have visited on a number of times over recent years, I have let them know we will be coming however due to the popularity they cannot guarantee to reserve tables. They do have an outside / public area across the road where most cyclist tend to congregate. Should you have any dietary needs then please phone the cafe and make your own individual arrangements.

Hazards Riding a bicycle on public roads is inherently a risk, you can mitigate those risks by staying alert as to how other group members are maneuvering and watch out for the movements of other road users trying to anticipating their likely actions.

After Lunch I will be returning back to Hooton via Lavister, Pulford and Saltney Ferry bridge.

Trains There is a train station in Chester that will return you to the Wirral this is 12 miles from Holt. The Wrexham train is 6.1 miles from Holt at 34 and 54 min past the hour. I would advise you to bring money for both your lunch and the train should you choose to use them.
