The ride is open to all members of the Wirral Cycling Group and to anyone who has been on one of our newcomers’ rides

If you are new to Wirral Cycling Group, but would like to join us on this ride, then please speak to the ride leader, John Hampson, on 07396 364702 before booking a place.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be a maximum of six participants on this ride

You must not join a ride if you or anyone in your household is experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms or if you have been advised to self-isolate

The ride will start at 10:00 from outside the Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre on Park Drive. The ride leader, John Hampson, will be there from 09:45

The route is 25 miles long, Grade C, so we can expect to be back at Birkenhead Park between 13:30 and 14:00.  Click on this link: Ride from Birkenhead Park to Thornton Hough if you would like to see the route on Komoot, or this one Birkenhead Park to Thornton Hough to see it on Garmin Connect.

We will go out towards Hamilton Square, past Birkenhead Priory, through Rock Park and stop for a ‘banana’ break by the Dell in Port Sunlight.  Then out on along the cycle track to Eastham Ferry, through Eastham Village and Raby to stop for lunch at Thornton Hough.  We hope that the Village Hall there will be open for take-away food, or people can bring their own sandwiches and drinks if they prefer.  The return journey will be via Brimstage, Prenton and Noctorum to the Visitor Centre in Birkenhead Park.

Bookings no longer allowed on this date.
