Possible obstacles There is nothing too worrying in terms of hills, the Back of Chester Zoo being the steepest climb of the day on the outward ride. On the return route, only the climb off the marshes through Neston and up Boathouse lane the rest is a fairly flat course, where possible when crossing major roads we will use traffic lights or pedestrian crossing points.

Route the outward route is fairly familiar and with no major hills or obstacles, the steepest climb being at the back of Chester Zoo upto Upton Heath. Hooton to Chester Lakes.

The return route is available on Komoot Chester Lakes to Hooton and on to Arrowe Park

Lunch will be at the Chester Lakes cafe approximately 12.30; we as a group have not visited Chester Lakes for a long time however it is now under new management and this ride is an ideal opportunity to give it another go. Should you have any dietary needs then please phone the cafe and make your own individual arrangements. Tel: 07860 133133

Hazards Riding a bicycle on public roads is inherently a risk, you can mitigate those risks by being aware of other road users and anticipating their likely actions. If you have not done so then please do read the WCG guide and Risk Assessment policy

After Lunch I will be returning on a reverse route back to Hooton and onto Arrowe Park

Trains There are a number of stations  on route that will return you to the Wirral Stations so I would advise you to bring money for both your lunch and the train should you choose to use them.
