Distance The ride is 27.2 miles out to Net’s Cafe on Burton Marshes and will be a Grade C ride. With a return route back to Red Rooms of 10 miles. 37.2 in total.

Meeting We will be meeting at Red Rooms at 9.45 for a 10:00 depart.

Possible obstacles No big hills or major obstacles. There are a number of main road junctions that we should take care at notably the crossing of the Welsh Rd, we will use the traffic island, the traffic lights on the A540 and I would ask you all to be aware of the dangers that other road users pose.

Route is available on Komoot Red Room to Net’s

Lunch will be at Net’s (about 12.45) which we as a group have visited on a number of times over recent years, I have booked some tables, preferably outside but this is dependent upon the weather. Should you have any dietary needs then please phone the Net’s and make your own individual arrangements.

Hazards Riding a bicycle on public roads is inherently a risk, you can mitigate those risks by being aware of other road users and anticipating their likely actions. If you have not done so then please do read the WCG guide and Risk Assessment policy

After Lunch I will be returning back to Red Rooms via Neston and Heswall, however I would expect that members may wish to take alternative routes home.

Trains There are a number of Wirral line stations on route and after lunch there is a train station in Neston that will return you to the Wirral so I would advise you to bring money for both your lunch and the train should you choose to use them.

Questions via email please to Peter Williams
