(C) Hooton to Chester via Hawarden Bridge

10:00 Wednesday October 12 2022

Current Participants: 0 space(s) available

34 miles, C ride pace, generally 10 to 12 mph. Well surfaced roads & bike paths, apart from a tiny off-road section near Guilden Sutton Lane. It’s pretty flat apart from a bit of a rise on Dee Lane up to Chester city centre. The ride leader, David Hill, will be at Hooton station from 9.45. We’ll leave at 10, head to Willaston, across to Burton & the marshes, through Deeside industrial estate & on to the Dee cycle path, the full length of which will test our patience & resilience to prevailing winds but it will take us towards the riverfront at Chester. Care needed on a brief stretch of city centre road. Hoole Lane will take us to our lunch stop at The Piper, the landlord of which will make  sandwiches available as well as the normal menu. Back to Hooton station via, primarily Guilden Sutton Lane, skirting Mickle Trafford, Picton Lane, the A5117 bike path, Ledsham Lane, & the ubiquitous Missing Link.
