    In this section:

    • Ride: Grade C, 24 miles from Birkenhead Park to lunch at Brimstage Courtyard Cafe almost all on good surfaces. I have designated this as a grade C ride hoping to maintain an average pace of about 12 mph to keep warm and avoid running out of daylight, nevertheless please remember your lights.

    • Start: Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre, 10.00 am. Please meet at approximately 09.45.
    • Route: Birkenhead Park, Woodside, Rock Park, Port Sunlight, Raby Mere, Eastham Rake, Hooton Station, Missing Link, across A540, Burton, past Net’s, up Leighton Road and The Runnel, across A540, Thornton Hough ending at Brimstage. After lunch riders will make their own way home, but nobody will be left stranded.
