This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

    This ride was originally put together by Peter Williams.

    The ride leader is Robert Holmes.

    Starting from West Kirby Station at 10am, the ride initially involves a little bit of uphill to Grange Cemetery and then a little bit more climbing up Montgomery Hill and then a little bit more uphill through Irby and Pensby. By then we should be nicely warmed up as we make our way via Whitehouse lane to Thornton Hough where we will stop for a banana break.

    From there we will be in flatter countryside as we cycle through Raby, past Hooton Station and along Heath Lane, Badgers Rake lane and Mudhouse Lane towards our lunch destination which is the Gift Café at Puddington.

    After lunch we will return to West Kirby along the Dee Coast, a good part of the journey being along the Wirral Way. The total ride distance is approximately 33 miles and the route can be found on Komoot by the link below:
