Current Participants: 1 space(s) available The ride will be just under 35 miles, Grade C, starting from the car park of the Merebrook Hotel, next to Bromborough Railway Station at 10:00 am. The ride leader will be John Hampson and he will be at the start at 09:45 am.
At the beginning of the ride we will divert to the offices of Autism Together at 6 Tebay Road in Bromborough to present a cheque for the money collected by the group at Christmas.
The out through Eastham Village, Rivacre Valley and Ellesmere Port, then along Oil Sites Road and a quick tour around Ince before our snack break. Continuing via Thornton, and on to Mickle Trafford and the Greenway, then through Hoole to the Groves by the River Dee at Chester for lunch (toilets, cafes and outside seating to eat your own food are allavailable). After lunch we go around the racecourse, past the Countess of Chester Hospital and along the towpath of the Shropshire Union Canal to Lea-by-Backford, then back to Bromborough via Great Sutton, Little Sutton and Hooton Station.
There are no significant hills and a few sections (such as the canal towpath) on gravel tracks, but with good surfaces. Here is the route on Komoot: Ince and the Greenway
