This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

    • This is a Grade C ride of approximately 48 miles. There are a few steep hills. 1558 ft total climbing
    • David Brewer will be ride leader. Start time is 10:00 from Port Sunlight station. Please be there earlier say 09:45 for a safety briefing.
    • The route is via the level railway cycle path to Eastham , Ferry Road, Banksfield Drive, North Rd, past E Port Boat Museum, Oil Sites Rd, Bridges Rd, South Rd, New Bridge Rd, Stanney Mill Rd, A5117 new cycle path, Thornton Green Ln, Hob Ln, up  Church Ln to DoH (banana break),  Village Rd, Manley Ln, Norton’s Ln, Barnhouse Ln, Village Rd, Main St (Great Barrow), Barrow Ln, Tarvin Rd A51 footpath, Wicker Ln, Station Ln, School Ln, the St, Salters Ln, Fox Covert Ln, Acres Ln, Caughall Rd, Oakfield Ln, Flag Ln N, to Chester Zoo Nature Reserve – Lunch. 
    • Back via Chorlton Ln, Rake Ln, Station Rd, West Ln (Mollington), Townfield Ln, Coalpit Ln, Long Ln to Saughall, then our usual way back Lodge Ln, Woodbank Ln, through Deeside Ind, Estate, Greenway to Nets,  and back through Neston , TH and Brimstage to rest a while hill (final one) – then all down hill to PS.
    • Garmin Connect
    • A picnic lunch is planned at Chester Zoo Nature Reserve, so please bring your own sandwiches and drink. A cafe alternative is Meadow Lea at Mickle Trafford (please let me know if you prefer that and I can book a table).
    • The route returns to Port Sunlight station.
