This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

(B) Port Sunlight to Guilden Sutton

      • This ride is 39 miles total from Port Sunlight to Guilden Sutton (GS)  via Dunham on the Hill (DoH) ; Barrow; and Stamford Bridge.  There are a few hills and it is quite long so I class it as Grade B. Return is via Chester Zoo; Backford ; and Capenhurst.
      • David Brewer will be ride leader. Start time 10:00 from Port Sunlight Station.
      • We will go via the railway route to Bromborough; Eastham Woods; Eastham Village; North Road to Ellesmere Port; Thornton Le Moors; DoH; Barrowmore Estate; Great Barrow; and Stamford Bridge to GS.

      • Lunch  will at Meadow Lea
      • We will return via Chester Zoo; Backford  and Capenhurst Station – so route could be shortened to 27 miles if you get the train from that Station.
