(C) Thornton Hough to Ellesmere Port Boat Museum

10:30 Wednesday December 1 2021

Current Participants: 3 space(s) available

Distance: 29 miles total (return to Thornton Hough), 20 miles to lunch at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum.

      Grade: C

      Leader: Paul Malloy

Start: 10.30 from Thornton Hough Village Hall, please arrive by about 10.15 for roll call and briefing.

From Thornton Hough we will head in the *wrong* direction as far as Irby then turn right to Thingwall.  We will turn right again and ride through Barnston Dale and then turn immediately left to Storton, Bebington, Port Sunlight and via the old railway path to Bromborough. From here we will ride via Eastham Woods and North Road to Ellesmere Port Boat Museum where the cafe serves light meals, sandwiches and snacks.

After lunch some riders may choose to make their own way home but I will lead back to Thornton Hough via Little Sutton, Hooton Station, Willaston and Raby.

It is not a hilly ride but Rest Hill, although quite short, is fairly steep. We will stop at the top to re-group if necessary.
