This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

    Start location : Hooton Station

    Meet : 9.45am for 10am start

    The route will take us through the missing link, Capenhurst, Chester gates, Saughall,  the greenway, Pipers Ash, Christleton to Barrowmore.  approx 19 miles to the lunch stop. The return route takes us to Thornton le Moors, along the A5117 to Cheshire Oaks then along to the boat museum where there is an option to head for Ellesmere Port Station. The total distance back to Hooton is approx 34 miles. There are  a few short climbs but we are approaching the cafe from a different direction so not as tough as the last time we went there.

    Lunch will be at Bluebell Cafe at approximately 12.30pm.
