This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

(C) Bromborough to Greenway via Ness

      The ride will start from the car park of the Merebrook Hotel next to Bromborough station and will be just over 36 miles long, grade C, mostly flat on normal roads with a stretch over the Burton Marshes boardwalk and along the Chester Greenway.

      The ride leader will be John Hampson and he will be at the start from 10:15.   On Wednesday mornings trains from Hooton arrive at 10:14 and 10:21  and trains from Hamilton Square get to Bromborough at 10:15 and 10:22.

      The route will go out via Raby and Thornton Hough, down Boathouse Lane to Parkgate and then through Neston, down Denhall Lane to Burton Marshes and then onto the Greenway all the way to Meadow Lea cafe for lunch at around 12:30.  Then back via Wervin and Stoak, past the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum and through Eastham Village returning to Bromborough Station between 14:00 and 14:30.  The route is available  to view or download on Komoot via this link Bromborough to Greenway via Ness
