(C) West Kirby to Net's, keeping the water to the left.

10:30 Wednesday September 29 2021

Current Participants: 0 space(s) available

      Leader: Paul Malloy

Ride: Grade C, approx 27 miles from West Kirby Merseyrail Station to Net’s, Burton.

Start Time: 10.30 am, I will be there from 10.15.

From West Kirby we will follow the North Wirral coast as closely as possible, keeping the water to our left as far as New Ferry. From there we will head across to the Dee coast via Bebington, Brimstage, Thornton Hough and Neston.. You can view or download the route for free using the following link: https://www.komoot.com/tour/489564056

There is one short, steep uphill section on Bracken Lane past Brackenwood Golf Course. Most of the route is on good surfaces but there are cobbled sections by the docks and there may be blown sand on the Wallasey Embankment and short sections that are a bit gnarly. Road bikes should be OK, but a hybrid may be a better choice.

Service at Net’s is usually very good but if you wish to bring sandwiches there are plenty of places nearby to eat with views over the marshes. After lunch I will lead anyone back to West Kirby, if required.

Bookings no longer allowed on this date.
