(C) Port Sunlight to The Yot in Heswall

10:30 Wednesday October 6 2021

Current Participants: 4 space(s) available

This is a grade C ride, led by Jill McNamee. Please note the start time of 10.30

This grade C ride is 19.5 miles from Port Sunlight to the Yot.

Please check the forecast and bring appropriate clothing, puncture repair kit and inner tube, and water.

On this ride we pass Eastham County Park, Heath Lane and cross the Welsh Rd. We’ll have a comfort/banana break at Hadlow Rd before heading to Burton Village and past Nets cafe. After Leighton Rd we go a short distance up Boathouse Lane [not the steep bit] and turn left and wind our way through quiet roads of Heswall before descending Delavor Rd and reaching the Yot.  They do not take bookings, but there is plenty of outdoor seating.  I’ll let them know we are coming.  If you bring your own lunch then there are seats on the Wirral Way which is close by.

After lunch there are options to go south on The Wirral Way, towards Heswall and Neston, or north towards West Kirby, I’ll be taking this option.  If anyone needs help getting back to the start or to east Wirral then please let me know beforehand.  The Garmin link (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/76766687) shows 29+ miles but that includes Jill’s route home to New Brighton, [including taking the train from Hoylake to Leasowe].  The route on Komoot (https://www.komoot.com/tour/483505670) just covers the ride from Port Sunlight to Yot.

Bookings no longer allowed on this date.
