This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

Ellesmere Port to Bluebell Cottage Gardens, Dutton

      The ride will be led by Andy Mace and is a B grade with significant off road sections including forest tracks. If you have a choice of bike, the one with wider tyres / hybrid is likely to be best.

      The ride starts from Ellesmere Port station at 10.30 am with a picnic / lunch stop at Bluebell Cottage Garden Nursery, Dutton. The ride returns to Ellesmere Port station.
      From Ellesmere Port station we go via Guilden Sutton, Barrowmore, Ashton Hayes, Hatchmere, Norley, Crowton & Acton Bridge for a total of 28 miles. Likely arrival about 13.45.  There is a small self serve cafe where tea/coffee and cake are available, but you may need to bring your own food.
      The return is 18 miles via Hatchmere, Delamere Forest track, Manley, & Oil Sites road to Ellesmere Port station.
