This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

      The ride leader is John Chambers, who will be at the starting point from 10.00am.  Meet at Thornton Hough Village Hall at 10.15 for 10.30 departure.

      The ride will be a 5 mile loop South to Raby and Benty Heath Lane then back, via Thornton Hough again, to Brimstage, Storeton, Landican, Irby, Newton, West Kirby, then Wirral Way to Thurstaston, up Station Road to Benty Farm tearooms for lunch, ETA 12.45pm.   Check Strava for the route via this link Thornton Hough to Thurstaston.   A ride of 21 miles, Grade C, on tarmac (except for Landican Lane and the Wirral Way section on gravel).

      Return to Thornton Hough (for those requiring it) will be 5.6 miles using the Frank Lewis Cycleway, Mere Lane, Irby Road, Whitehouse Lane and Manor Road.
