This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

Sonia (D) Thornton Hough to Burley Dam Garden Centre

      The ride will be just under 26 miles long, Grade D, and will start at 10:30 am from outside the Café at Thornton Hough Village Hall on Manor Rd, Thornton Hough, Wirral, CH63 1JB.  The ride leader will be Sonia Oldershaw and she will be in the cafe from 10:00 am.

      The ride will go from Thornton Hough via Neston, Burton, Ledsham and through Capenhurst, then Great Sutton to a break for lunch at Burley Dam  Garden Centre in Childer Thornton after 16 miles.

      Return trip back to Thornton Hough is about 10 miles, going through Eastham, passing Eastham Rake Merseyrail station for those who wish to leave the ride there.
