The ride begins at 9:30 by the starting point of the Way of the Roses on the promenade at Morecambe. Please be at the start by 09:15.
The route heads North East along the promenade before turning to head through Torrisholme to the Millennium Bridge over the River Lune and then along the river bank to the Crook of Lune. Turning South at Caton with a long steady climb to Quernmore, then across Wyresdale and Grizedale and through Oakenclough before turning west towards Garstang. then North for lunch in Scorton.
After lunch, we head to Galgate and Conder Green to join the cycle way alongside the River Lune to Lancaster, crossing the Millennium Bridge again and following the Way of the Roses route back to Morecambe and the sea shore.
A Grade B ride of 46.5 miles, with 1,800 ft of elevation at an average speed of just under 12 mph. All on good quality surfaces.
