If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities. 
If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of Grade D rides which are suitable for newcomers.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride



(C) Thornton Hough to Bluebell Cafe

    This is a C ride of 40 miles, at a steady pace of 10/12 mph, all on roads and cycleways. It’s a relatively flat route with only 780ft of climbing.

    The ride leader is Steve Downs. Start time is 10:00 at Thornton Hough Village Hall, with a pre-ride briefing at 09:45.

    The outward leg of 20 miles will take us from Thornton Hough to Raby Mere, Hooton, Capenhurst, Mickle Trafford and then on to the Bluebell Cafe for lunch. Tables are reserved for lunch, but we’ll need to pre-order our food (menu details to follow).

    After lunch we’ll return through Thornton le Moors, Capenhurst, Hooton and back to Thornton Hough.
