This is a grade B ride of c 55 miles with 1200 feet of climbing, but nothing too hilly, led by Dave Branch.
The ride will start at 10am from Hooton Station, please meet at 9.45 for briefing.
The route will initially take us through Willaston and Burton, crossing the marsh and then taking the full length of the Greenway to Mickle Trafford. We then ride to Waverton and follow the canal for a bit, passing Tattenhall marina and skirting Beeston Crag before dropping down to Lockgate Cafe for lunch next to the canal (c. 31 miles).
The return route takes us to Huxley and Duddon, before returning to Waverton via Walk Mill and then retracing our steps to Mickle Trafford. We’ll then take the road through Stoak and pick up A5117 cycle path to Capenhurst, missing link and back to Hooton
