If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities. 
If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of Grade D rides which are suitable for newcomers.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride

    C Ride. Thornton Hough to Tattenhall. ( Alison’s Country Kitchen) 50 Miles.

    Rides are classified on three important criteria – Distance, Elevation and the Ride Leaders specified speed. In order to achieve an average speed one has to ride at a much higher speed

    Grade C Average speed 13 plus MPH able to ride at 15 to 17 MPH for a prolong period.

    Meeting at Thornton Hough at 9.45 for a 10.00 start. Ride leader David Williams

    Our route takes us from Thornton Hough to Raby, Ledsham, Dunkirk Road, Little Stanney to Mickle Trafford, Guilden Sutton taking care crossing the A51 through Waverton and onto Long Lane through Hargrave towards Tattenhall, Lunch at Alison’s Country Kitchen. Approximately 25 miles.

    After lunch, leaving Tattenhall we will travel through Gatesheath. At the A41 we will ride along the pavement for a short distance before crossing the A41 onto Platt Lane. This is a very busy main road so take great care when crossing. From Platt Lane we will head towards Saignton and Huntington around the outskirts of Chester to eventually join the Greenway back to Neston. Riders will probably go their own way home from the Marsh Gate.
    Approximately 25 miles

    There are no high elevated areas on this ride with the exception of a gentle rise around Chester which provides excellent views of the river Dee.
