Energise Cycles are offering this ride to WCG members under Energise Insurance policy guidelines.

On the day we suggest that you should bring:

  • wet weather wear and warm clothing
  • a spare inner tube, a pump  and tyre levers
  • some food and drink to keep you going
  • money for emergencies (and possibly lunch)
  • a mobile phone

and that you should carry details of your address and an emergency telephone contact number, just in case.

Delamere Forest offers a fantastic opportunity for natural cycling.

There are two cycling routes marked out within the forest, both are classified as forest road routes. More advanced mountain bikers should spend some time navigating their way around the myriad of routes and trails within the forest.

Haven’t got a bike but love cycling? Then head to Delamere Forest Bike Hire where 3-6 hour bike hire sessions are available along with sales and servicing.

If you do not have a bike rack or you need a lift out to the start then let Joe know, he may not be able to help but he may know a man / woman that can.

Ride details: This is an exciting opportunity for you to be introduced to the amazing experience that is off-road cycling whilst enjoying the beautiful Delamere Forest area.

Meeting We will be meeting at Delamere Forest visitors area :- Forest Centre Car Park, Delamere Forest, Northwich CW8 2JD

Arrival Time: we will meet at the visitors centre at 10.15 for a 10:30 departure.

Lunch will be at the Delamere Forest visitors area or you can bring your own.

Hazards Riding off road and in the Forestry England land you are asked to take care and follow their country code, Forestry England cycling safety code.

After Lunch you will be free to either go around again; on your own, or return to the Wirral.
