This is ride is open to all members of the Wirral Cycling Group, but is also suitable for people who have not previously ridden with a cycling group.  If you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities.  
Before the ride, check out the page on our website about taking part in one of our rides "Taking Part", and read the Advice from Cycling UK on riding in a group.  If you are new to riding with a group, please arrive 15 minutes before the advertised start time, so that the ride leader can brief you on how to ride safely with a group of other riders. 

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride

    In this section:

    • This is a ride of 28 miles. We will be passing Hooton Station on the way so if anyone wants to meet us there we will arrange a time
    • The ride will start at 10.30 at T.Hough village hall in Manor road, you are welcome to come at 10.00 and join us for refreshments before we start.
    • The ride is flat except for one incline on the way home in Station Road Backford, its one we have done many times before.
    • There are a couple of busy roads we will be crossing so everyone must do so with caution
    • Lunch will be at Hospice of Good Shepherd, they have a good selection of light meals and delicious cakes
