This is ride is open to all members of the Wirral Cycling Group, but is also suitable for people who have not previously ridden with a cycling group.  If you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities.  
Before the ride, check out the page on our website about taking part in one of our rides "Taking Part", and read the Advice from Cycling UK on riding in a group.  If you are new to riding with a group, please arrive 15 minutes before the advertised start time, so that the ride leader can brief you on how to ride safely with a group of other riders. 

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride


(D)Port Sunlight Station to Tanskeys Bistro West kirby

    Hello this is Barry and this is a D ride for approx 23miles.

    On leaving the station we’ll ride down the old railway track, on through Spital, Raby Mere Benty Heath Lane and onto Thornton Hough. Passing the Manor down The Runnel, right at the bottom up Boathouse Lane and left at the top through Gayton and Lower Heswall, up the challenging hill, left and right to Telegraph Road. Down the hill to Station road onto the Wirral Way and into West Kirby and Tanskeys Bistro.

    There are a couple of inclines, Raby Mere, Boathouse Lane and the very challenging one in Lower Heswall.

    Tanskeys is a good cafe, something for everybody.
