If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of Grade D rides which are suitable for newcomers.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride


(D)Chester Station to The boat Museum Ellesmere Port

    Hello, this is Barry. So this ride is a D ride from Chester Railway to The Boat Museum Ellesmere Port at 10.30.

    Route will be after leaving the station we will go down the hill to the river, weave our way along the normally busy groves out along the river around the Racecourse through the apartment blocks and along the river Dee for a few miles until we leave the river and turn onto The Greenway. Along the greenway for a few more miles where we leave the Greenway at Newton Fields. Continuing over the A41 bypassing the Zoo then onto Stoak and Cheshire Oakes working our way to the canal and The Boat Museum. Most of us know the Museum which serves up good food for lunch.

    After lunch I intend to ride back toward Eastham via North Road, however riders can peel off as they wish for their own way to home. There are a couple of hills but mostly flat. there are also a couple of railway stations on route for any riders use. The distance is about 23 miles to the museum then extra miles whatever it is to get you home.
