(C) Bromboro – Meadowlea – Bromboro

10:00 Wednesday February 11 2026

Current Participants: 4 space(s) available

38 mile C ride averaging 10 -12 mph on reasonably surfaced roads & bikepaths. Flattish terrain with a modest total ascent of 550 feet, most of which is a short, sharp climb away from the riverside in Chester.

David Hill is the rideleader  & will be at the Merebrook car park from 9.45 for a 10 am start. The Merebrook is right next to Bromborough station & car  parking is available at the station car park or nearby side streets but not in the pub car park itself.

The lunch destination, Meadowlea cafe in Mickle Trafford, is a tried & tested cafe. The last time I tried this route we ended up assisting an elderly lady sprawled on the main road in Saughall which resulted in shortening the route quite a lot. Let’s give it another go…

Outward leg of 22 miles: south to Hooton, Missing Link, Capenhurst, A5117 bikepath  Lodge Lane, Saughall, Blacon, Dee bikepath, Chester racecourse, The Groves, Hoole Lane, Hare Lane, Bellevue Lane, School Lane, & Station Lane.

Return leg of 16 miles: Station Lane, The Street, Salters Lane, Wervin Road to Stoak, A5117 bikepath, Capenhurst, Missing Link, Hooton, back to The Merebrook.
