This is ride is open to all members of the Wirral Cycling Group, but is also suitable for people who have not previously ridden with a cycling group.  If you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities.  
Before the ride, check out the page on our website about taking part in one of our rides "Taking Part", and read the Advice from Cycling UK on riding in a group.  If you are new to riding with a group, please arrive 15 minutes before the advertised start time, so that the ride leader can brief you on how to ride safely with a group of other riders. 

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride



(D) Arrowe PK – Nets Via Raby These rides are open to Newcomers

    23 miles, Grade D: Arrowe Park to Nets Cafe via Raby

    The route is 23 miles in total (15 miles to lunch at Net’s) mostly on roads and with a few gentle inclines.

    Starting from the Red Rooms Café, Arrowe Park, through the Woodchurch Estate, down to the River Fender and then climb up to Prenton and Storeton Road. A short section of Storeton Road to Lever Causeway , turning off at the bottom onto Little Storeton Lane. After continuing to the junction of Little Storeton Lane and Landican Lane, for a stop for a banana break.

    From there through Storeton, Brimstage, Thornton Hough, Raby and Little Neston, to reach Net’s Café for lunch.

    The return to Arrowe Park is a more direct 8 miles via Leighton Road, Boathouse Lane and Barnston.
