This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

(C+) Gloucester SW via Stroud , Frocester, Slimbridge.

    • This is a 45 mile quite hilly ride (2273ft) planned through the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. It is nearly all on tarmac but there is one off road canal path from Slimbridge to Frampton. The canal path into Gloucester docks is hard core in good condition (apart from one small section.)
    • David Brewer will be ride leader. Start and finish will be Gloucester Cathedral. Start time 09:00
    • The route will be SW out of Gloucester through Barton, Matson, Brookthorpe, (then a very big climb) Edge, Ruscombe, Stroud, Frocester, Slimbridge, Frampton, Epney, Longney, Quedgeley and back to Gloucester.

    • A cafe stop will be at Black Shed Café GL2 7BP in Shepherd’s Patch, Slimbridge,  near the Tudor Rose
    • The route returns to Gloucester Cathedral.
