This is a fast ride only suitable for people who can maintain a fast pace (15 to 20 mph) for a prolonged period of time.   
And please note that the pace will be above the legal maximum for electric assistance for the majority of the ride.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride


(A) Hooton 9am Goostrey Century (or not) Marsh return

    Friday century ride (or not) starting at Hooton Station 9am.

    Usual Century format of a ‘loop’ that needs making up to a century, often more for some but only if you want!

    This ride starts at Hooton at 9am but is ending at the marsh gate and around 82miles (add 5-6m back to Hooton) start time is ‘twirly’ for Mersey travel pass so parking there is cheaper than a train ticket for those not on the full century nonsense.

    Outbound via Capenhurst, A5117 path, Stoak, Mickle Trafford, passing Manley to Stonehouse Garden Cafe for a break (cash only), then Norley, Hartford, Davenham, Lach Dennis, Lower Peover, Goostrey corner, A50 briefly to Goostrey Golf Club for lunch.

    Return is again short bit of A50 and then the lanes through towards the outskirts of Middlewich, Winsford, Eaton, Tarporley, Waverton, Christleton, for the pond and the cake mobile, then through Chester for the Greenway (or ~2m for station back to Hooton?)
