(C): Bromborough – Meadowlea – Bromborough

10:00 Wednesday May 31 2023

Current Participants: 0 space(s) available

A 36 mile C ride (pace of 10 to 12 mph) on well-surfaced roads & bike paths. No gradients to speak of. Meadowlea is a very reliable cafe for our lunch stop which we’ve used often before. Most of the route will be familiar territory  (partly because I won’t be around in mid-May to test & try out anything novel!)

David Hill is the ride leader & will be at The Merebrook car park next to Bromborough Station from 9.45 to meet & greet. We’ll set off at 10 am, heading for Hooton & The Missing Link. Capenhurst, the A5117 bike path, Lodge Lane to Saughall, Hermitage Road to join the Greenway at Blacon, exit the Greenway near Hoole, taking care crossing Chester; from Piper’s Ash onward the scenery gets greener, taking in Christleton & Guilden Sutton to reach Meadowlea cafe after 22.5 miles. Return via Mickle Trafford, Picton Lane, Stoak, & another stretch of the A5117 bikepath, Capenhurst, & more Missing Link. (Option to use Hooton station for anyone not wanting to return to Bromborough.)
