(B-) Hooton to Roses Utkinton

10:00 Wednesday April 3 2024

Current Participants: 1 space(s) available

This is a ride of just over 50 miles from Hooton to Roses tea room at Utkinton.  It will be led by Dave Branch. Meet 10 for 10.15 start to allow rail pass users time to attend.

There is some climbing but nothing too strenuous. This is a ride that has recently been run on a Friday (Thanks Neil !) but I plan to run at a C pace, so it may suit riders who can’t make Fridays or riders who fancy a slightly longer, more taxing ride than the regular C rides. Perhaps you’re training for a cycling holiday or a sportive!

Numbers will be limited to 8

From Hooton we’ll go down to Burton Marshes and take the Greenway all the way to Mickle Trafford, then to Waverton, Hargrave, Huxley, Duddon before climbing up to Utkinton (c 30 miles)

The return will take us down towards Tarvin, crossing the A54 to Barrow, Stamford Bridge, back to Mickle Trafford then well worn route through Stoak, along 5117 to Capenhurst and Missing Link back to Hooton (c21 miles)

Komoot routes to follow nearer the time

Bookings no longer allowed on this date.
