Port Sunlight to Tanskeys West Kirby

10:30 Wednesday May 8 2024

Current Participants: 4 space(s) available

Hello, my name is Barry and I will be leading this epic voyage to Tanskeys West Kirby.

So we will start this C/D ride at Port Sunlight Station leaving at 10.30am by riding down the old railway track to Spital and onto Raby Mere, Bromborough Golf Course then through some mid Wirral lanes to Thornton Hough. Then swinging left we’ll pass Thornton Hall and up Parkgate Lane, across Chester High road and down The Runnell, turn right at the bottom, up Boathouse Lane and left into leafy Heswall. All the way through Lower Heswall up the hill and left at Oldfield road before riding down the hill on Frank Lewis Way, Station Road then the Wirral Way into West Kirby and Tanskeys. The distance is about 21 mile but it is still a good ride for those riding home or to the start.

There are a couple of hills which we will need to negotiate but I’m sure we’ll be ok.

Tanskeys is a good quality Cafe as most will know, so see you there. Happy cycling.
