This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

    Ride: Grade C, distance 33.5 miles total, about 16 miles to lunch at Meadow Lea Farm Cafe.

    The ride leader is Peter Williams who will be at the start before 10.15 am

    Start Location: Thornton Hough Village Hall, Manor Road CH63 1JB

    Route Out: via Raby, Hooton Station, Missing Link, Capenhurst, A5117 cycle path, Stoak, Picton and Mickle Trafford.

    Route Back: via Greenway, Marsh Path, Ness and Neston.

    The route is almost entirely on tarmac (except for short sections at The Missing Link and by Net’s). There is a steady climb from Ness to the top of The Runnell but there are no steep hills.
