This is ride is open to all members of the Wirral Cycling Group, but is also suitable for people who have not previously ridden with a cycling group.  If you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities.  
Before the ride, check out the page on our website about taking part in one of our rides "Taking Part", and read the Advice from Cycling UK on riding in a group.  If you are new to riding with a group, please arrive 15 minutes before the advertised start time, so that the ride leader can brief you on how to ride safely with a group of other riders. 

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride



(D) Port Sunlight to Yvonne's Cafe, Connah's Quay

    This ride  has a total length of approximately 33 miles and a total height gain of approximately 700 feet. We will travel at “D” ride pace with an average speed of within 8 to 10 miles per hour. The ride leader is Rob Holmes who will be at Port Sunlight railway station from 10.15 am ready for a 10.30 am start.

    The outward journey of a little less than 20 miles will take us through Eastham Country Park, Eastham Village, Childer Thornton, to Capenhurst where we will stop for a banana break. From there it is onward to Hawarden Bridge and over the river Dee to Connah’s Quay and our lunch stop which is Yvonne’s Cafe. The outward journey can be seen on Komoot by following the link below:

    The return journey is a little less than 13 miles along the marsh path to Neston, then through Thornton Hough and Poulton back to Port Sunlight. The return journey can be viewed on Komoot by following the link below:
