If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities. 
If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of Grade D rides which are suitable for newcomers.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride

    Meet at Hooton Station at 9.45 am for a 10 am start

    From Hooton we skirt Capenhurst to join the Green Way and cross the Dee on the Hawarden bridge.  We climb up through Aston to Ewloe, Through Buckley to Soughton and drop down to cross the A541.  We climb up to Gwernaffield and on up to Pantymwyn, descending into a valley and up again to Cilcain.  `We then drop down into the valley to join the A541 for about a mile. We turn off to Nannerch with a short but steep climb shortly after the village.  We rejoin the A541 for under a mile then turn right to climb up 300 ft, at up to 9 % gradient to Caerwys for lunch in the “On the Corner Cafe” (31 miles).

    From Caerwys we have an undulating climb up on to Halkyn mountain going through Lixwm  and Rhes -y-cae  before dropping down to Halkyn and Northop and on down to the Chester Road near the power station at Connah’s Quay,  crossing the Dee on the Flint bridge and back across the marshes to the marsh gate at Burton.
