If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities. 
If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of Grade D rides which are suitable for newcomers.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride


(C) Port Sunlight to Wepre Park

    • This is a grade C 35 mile ride from Port Sunlight to Wepre Park. It is mainly flat but there are a couple of hills ((in Shotton and Rest  Hill). 1132 ft of ascent total.  It is nearly all on tarmac.
    • David Brewer will be Ride Leader. The ride starts and finishes at Port Sunlight Station. Start time will be 10:00 but please arrive by 09:45 if possible for a briefing.
    • The route will go down the railway path towards Eastham woods; Eastham village; Childer Thornton; Capenhurst (banana stop); Woodbank; Deeside Industrial Estate; Hawarden Bridge; Connah’s Quay; Wepre Park; (lunch); possibly onto Ewloe Castle (dogs and pedestrians permitting!). Return route is Shotton; Hawarden Bridge; Burton Marsh; Neston; the Runnel; Thornton Hough; Brimstage; Storeton; Higher Bebington and back to PS.
    • Garmin Connect
    • Lunch will be at Wepre Park cafe (or bring your own sandwiches). We could go onto Ewloe Castle via the gravel path after lunch if desired (it is well worth a visit -it will add a further two miles to the route).
    • The route returns to Port Sunlight but riders may depart off to Neston; Greasby ;  etc. via their own route if desired on way back.
