This ride begins at 10am from Hamiton Square train station. We will ride down the east side of the peninsula, using the NCN 56 as far as Port Sunlight. Here ,we will join the old cycle path up to Bromborough. At Eastham Woods, we can have a short 10 minute ‘banana break’. Toilets are available.

From here, it is uphill until Eastham village- this is about the only incline, of the ride. Then onto the Missing Link, Hooton- a short stretch along the Wirral Way until Hadlow Station. The last furlong will then be through Willaston to our destination: Thornton Hough Village Hall. The distance is about 15 miles. A lot of the route is on shared paths or cycling lanes. Some quiet roads. We cross the busy A41 twice but will use the pedestrian crossings (as pedestrians)! to cross, safely.

This will probably be via Brimstage, Levers Causeway, Prenton, as this is the most direct route. The return journey is about 10 miles.
