(C) Hooton – Chocks Away – Hooton

10:00 Wednesday November 5 2025

Current Participants: 3 space(s) available

A C ride (average 10 to 12 mph) on decent roads & bikepaths mainly, give or take the odd dirty farm track. Only 500 feet of climbing, most of which is the little tug up to Blacon Mosque. It’s on the short side (35 miles) allowing for the shorter daylight hours & people wanting to get safely home to enjoy(?) Bonfire Night. 18 miles to lunch at Chocks Away, Hawarden Airport, a tried & tested venue.

David Hill is the rideleader & will be at Hooton Station from 9.45 for pre-ride briefing & a 10 am start.

We’ll do a meander round local lanes from Hooton to Raby towards Neston High School through to Ness & down Denhall to Burton Marshes, taking the Dee bikepath to Saltney Ferry bridge.

After lunch, return via Blacon, Saughall, A5117 bikepath, Capenhurst, Missing Link, back to Hooton. The usual stuff!
