If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities. 
If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of Grade D rides which are suitable for newcomers.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride



(D) Birkenhead Park to West Kirby (Suitable for Newcomers)

    This is a Grade D ride of 25 miles led by Dave Branch. The ride is designed to be suitable for newcomers who are interested in joining group rides. As well as being able to cover the distance riders must be capable of maintaining a grade D pace averaging 8 – 10  mph.

    The ride starts and finishes at Birkenhead Park visitor centre. Please be there by 9.45 for pre-ride briefing and a 10am depart.

    The route takes us through Noctorum to Upton station, then through Woodchurch and Landican and across Arrowe Park. From Arrowe Park we’ll ride through Greasby, Saughall Massie and Newton to West Kirby.

    Lunch will be at Tanskeys (or bring your own)

    The return route is along Hoylake / Meols prom to Leasowe Lighthouse, then following the Birket and crossing Bidston golf course, climbing up past Flaybrick cemetery then dropping back to Birkenhead Park
