If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and you would like to join us on a ride, then book onto this ride using the form below, but please telephone or email the ride leader when you receive the booking confirmation to let them know about your experience and capabilities. 
If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of Grade D rides which are suitable for newcomers.

If you have an underlying health condition which could flare up when cycling (such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylactic shock, heart issues, etc.), then it would be appreciated if you could disclose this to the ride leader (in confidence) prior to the start of the ride



(C) Hooton to Maggies Holt and return

    This is a C grade ride (average speed 10 – 12 mph) of 46 miles. The ride will start at 10 am from Hooton station and will be led by Dave Branch. Please be there by 9.45 for briefing.

    The outbound route will take us to Capenhurst, along the gated path to Backford, past the zoo to Mickle Trafford, Guilden Sutton and Waverton. We’ll then take the road to Saighton, Aldford and Farndon before crossing the Dee into Wales and lunch at Maggies (c 24 miles).

    Maggies is a reasonably priced cafe with quick service. There is public seating in Holt for those wishing to self cater.

    The return leg will take us through Pulford, Dodleston and Bretton to Saltney Ferry bridge. We’ll then take the Dee path to Garden City and return to Hooton via Woodbank, Ledsham and Missing link (c 22 miles)
