In order for this event to go ahead we would appreciate your support in helping and guiding the riders around the route.

This event is provided in line with our Wirral Cycling Groups aims of providing support and a sociable environment to encourage more people onto bikes to explore the countryside and improve their level of fitness and confidence.
Route is out of Tower Quays into Park Street and along the cycle path on Beckwith St, turning Left on Vittoria St taking care when crossing over into Birkenhead Park. Twice around the park and then return the same way.
Distance The ride is approximately 10 Km (6 miles) in total. The riders can if they wish go into the Visitors Centre within the park, however for safety we will be looking to take everyone back to Energise cycles at the same time.
Possible obstacles There will be a briefing for the marshals before the ride to discuss the procedure for crossing roads and junctions. We will take extra care when crossing any main roads or major junctions we will look for pedestrian crossings / islands and traffic lights.

Refreshments:- Energise Cycles will provide hot and cold drinks for all and an M check of their bicycles before the start of the ride
Hazards Riding a bicycle on public roads is inherently a risk, from busy traffic, the marshals will help mitigate those risks by being aware of other road users and anticipating their likely actions. If you have not done so then please do read the WCG guide and Risk Assessment policy
