More details on the 70-100+ ride.

Don’t forget it’s 9am start at the Marsh Gate.

Outbound is 42m Marsh Gate to Br80
Our first stop is at Cleo’s so 19 miles from start (+ any commute there of course).
Route is Marshes, Dee, Bretton, Doddleston, Lavister to Cleo’s so a well known route to most riders by now.
2nd leg is 23m Shocklach, round Kidnal hill, No Man’s Heath, Wrenbury, Aston to Br80 cafe, at least 2 riders have ridden this bit of the route, and Wrenbury will be familiar to others.

Return is 38m Return from Br80

3rd leg returns us via Sound, Ravensmoor, Bunbury, Saighton, Huntingdon (about 23m to food stop) the final leg is up to Bike Factory over canal to Greenway and back to Marsh gate 15m

So the legs are about 19+23+23+15 for 80 ish total, if you want a 100 then you need to do a 20m round trip to/from home, easier to do extra on way out than on way back. Always the train option using Chester line if you get it wrong. Chester line train, saves about 8-10 miles using Chester or Bache stations (*) IF RUNNING

Think of it as 4×20-25 mile rides, each leg about 2hours and you’ll be fine.
Foodwise, then coffee (and blondie) for me at Cleo’s, Lunch at Bridge 80 (Cheese +Ham oatcakes, coke for me), then drinks (and probably cake) at the final stop.
Jelly babies, or a flapjack for emergencies in your back pocket, or simply nibble all the way round 😉

(*) Chester station bail out, saves most distance but needs the lift, Bache has ramps but a little off route -neither help very much if your car is at Hooton (5m to marshes?).

Bookings no longer allowed on this date.
