The ride is open to all members of the Wirral Cycling Group and to anyone who has been on one of our newcomers’ rides
You must not join a ride if you or anyone in your household is experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms or if you have been advised to self-isolate
The ride will be approximately 44 miles long, Grade B, starting at 10:00 am from outside West Kirby Station. Trains arrive at West Kirby from Hamilton Square at 09:25 and 09:45 on Wednesday mornings. The ride leader will be Paul Molloy and he will be at West Kirby station from 09:45.
The ride will go out from West Kirby via Hoylake, Meols and Moreton to New Brighton, then down Egremont Promenade and through Tranmere, Rock Park and Bromborough to Eastham Ferry. with the final leg to the Boat Museum at Ellesmere Port at 28 miles. The return to West Kirby will be via Little Sutton, Hooton station, Thornton Hough, Irby and Caldy, although people can bale out along the route home to go home, or to catch a train at one of many Merseyrail stations along the way (at Ellesmere Port, Overpool, Little Sutton, Hooton, and Heswall).
