The route is 25 miles long, Grade D, and starts from outside the entrance to West Kirby railway station in front of the Toast café.

The first short break is on the beach front at Leasowe after six miles, and the second break is at the half-way point on Wallasey Breck. The final stop before we return to West Kirby will be for lunch at Leasowe Common after 17 miles; it has public toilets (30p) and the Green Hut café for a take-away snack and hot or cold drinks.
