This is a grade C ride, approximately 26 miles long and with just under 1000 ft elevation gain.
Starting from the Red Rooms Café at Arrowe Park, the route takes familiar roads and lanes through Thingwall, Pensby, Lower Heswall and Gayton to Parkgate for an initial break. Continuing on through Neston and down to Burton Marshes, past Net’s Café before tackling the Station Road climb up to Burton Village and Mudhouse Lane.
A ten mile journey via Badgers Rake, Missing Link, Willaston, Raby and Thornton Hough will take us to Brimstage for a lunch stop at the Courtyard Café at Brimstage Manor.
The return journey to Arrowe Park is just five miles via Brimstage Lane, Red Hill Road and Landican Lane. If Landican Lane is particularly muddy, the route will divert along Station Road to Barnston.
