This ride starts from The Boat Museum in Ellesmere Port which is about half a mile from Ellesmere Port station.
Ride distance is about 53 miles and involves some hills. There is a lot of non-road cycling where mud is possible on tracks through Delamere and the Whitegate Way, which are both very scenic.. There is a nice cafe at Whitegate station and there are picnic tables nearby.
From Boat Museum we have a short canal section, then we head to Dunham on the Hill, Barrowmore & Oscroft before a short section on good quality paths in Delamere. We then head to Norley and Cuddington where we join the Whitegate Way bridleway for about 6 miles to lunch. 29 miles.
Following lunch we return via Cotebrook, Duddon, Guilden Sutton, and Stoak to our start. Distance about 24 miles.
